Aluminum containers, e.g. for food, pet food, coffee or fuel pastes, are produced at a speed of several hundred parts per minute and controlled with the help of machine vision technology. The raw material aluminum is expensive, which is why the containers should be as thin as possible for economic reasons. However, they must not be too thin either, because holes in the containers can lead to food becoming inedible or liquids to leak.
